The 2019 Peak City Dodgeball Classic took place March 27, 7-9 p.m., and 12 competitive teams showed up to stake their claim on the championship — including one team that confidently called itself the 2019 Dodgeball Champions!

That team name didn’t quite work out because an all-freshman team named the Dodgefathers (pictured above) defeated an all-upperclassmen team consisting of football players called The Family. It was a thrilling, aggressive and physical championship match, but the freshman Dodgefathers dodged their way through fierce football-force throws and claimed the 2019 title. Congratulations, guys!

12 teams participated in the third annual Peak City Dodgeball Classic.

The third annual Peak City Dodgeball Classic was emceed by Apex Varsity Football and Men’s Varsity Lacrosse announcer Jeff Shafer, and by our esteemed former principal, Diann “DK” Kearney. The PTSA sponsored this event as a fundraiser for technology purchases, which will be necessary when we move back to our home campus.

Thanks to the PTSA for sponsoring this fun event, to audience members who came to watch and to the teams for participating in it. Can’t wait for next year’s event! View a full gallery of photos from this event.
